Can I use Yahoo Site Builder to publish my site to another host, i.e. not Yahoo?

I need to build a website. I downloaded Yahoo Site Builder, but it seems to indicate that I have to have my site hosted by Yahoo in order to publish the final pages? Is this true? If so, then are there other easy-to-use free tools for creating web pages and publishing them which don%26#039;t require that the site is hosted by the tool provider?

Can I use Yahoo Site Builder to publish my site to another host, i.e. not Yahoo?

You shoudl have written the HTML yourself. Its easy

It involves cutting and pasting HTML. I could help, mail me/

How to make..?

I want to make a webcomic and i was wondering if anyone knows a good web hosting place where i can have an unlimited number of pages, a way to get images on it, prefferably be able to make my own domain name, and be free. Anyone have any ideas? (if you know one that im not allowed to have my own domain name please suggest it and tell me that). Please no sarcastic answers.

How to make..?

You may try to use http://us.890m.com for your website%26#039;s web hosting.

It provides free web hosting services with a lot of resource for creating website for the user.

Their service includes free databases, email, ftp accounts,250mb disk space, 100GB data transfer bandwidth, cPanel Access, subdomains, etc....

You also can use the own domain with the free service.

I uploaded my site to their server for a long time. I never see the problem of their servers like server down or slow down.

After the free registeration and email confirmation of the account, there is a lot of resources for the user creating website like blog, forum, shop, etc....

How to make..?

Web comic??? Grow up, kid!!!

Other Replys:Awww, no sarcasm? D: Ok, I%26#039;ll try and be all %26quot;serious.....-sobs-%26quot;

Ok, so there is absolutely no way to get a top level domain for free, that of course includes com/org/net/nu/etc. And any foreign extensions, .ca/.co.uk/etc. The only option out there are domain redirections. I like to refer them as %26quot;Fake Domains.%26quot; Like .tk. and .co.nr. And the idea is simple: You create a site on a freeserver, and you have your .tk/.co.nr name redirect to your site on your freeserver, so instead of geocities.com/fluffybuncakes, your site would be read as http://fluffybuncakes.tk. And no, there is no way to get a top level domain redirection for free.

The process of getting a domain is easy-

You buy one for 10 bucks, and yes, you get to choose your own name, and then you buy a hosting package on top of that, I pay 30 dollars, including the domain for my small hosting package. All hosting sites, including freeservers, should let you have unlimited pages and for you to be able to upload images, except for the fact that for a domain, you%26#039;d be using a cpanel (Or another similiar system) to manage your domain and a FTP program to upload your files.

If your budget is absolutely 0, then I%26#039;m afraid that you can%26#039;t have a domain name. There is just no way of getting around that you know? Think of it like this:

A freeserver is basically a bare-bones way to make a website. It%26#039;s almost like some people expect more than a sub domain with limited features and possibly ads, for free....I mean really, I consider a domain name to be an upgrade, and really, there is no such thing as free upgrades on top of a free service.

Alright, you want to start a web comic, great. Honestly it sounds like something you can EASILY accomplish on a subdomain, on a freeserver.

Other Replys:you can try http://kohost.0lx.net, provides fast and free hosting... :)

This is a glitch right now. Started yesterday. I find myself having to press refresh a dozen times before I actually can get my mail page.

Have you seen the hidden character on Yahoo Answers question pages?

Click to the immediate right of the header text %26quot;Accepting Answers%26quot; above, and drag to the right. This will reveal a single letter of the alphabet.

Spooky eh.

I think it must be used to show what web server is used to host that page.

Have you seen the hidden character on Yahoo Answers question pages?

Yes, I see it. How is that supposed to tell you what server YA is using? The element is a %26lt;span class=%26quot;y-ks-debug-style%26quot;%26gt;.

The relevant item from Yahoo%26#039;s stylesheet is:

.y-ks-debug-style {color:#fff;font-size:10px;} /* set display:none for production */

Looks like they%26#039;re using a pre-production stylesheet; the comment told them what they needed to do before going live with it, but they didn%26#039;t. As for the server, my version of nmap can%26#039;t identify it, but it looks like it%26#039;s being run on an x86_64 version of RedHat, so probably Apache 2.x.

Have you seen the hidden character on Yahoo Answers question pages?

no

As well as this, 1 and 1 give you loads of extras, like statistics, chat channels, newsletter and form tools, database, website builder, dynamic site builders, photo glalery and software worth 鎷?00 - which includes frontpage 2003 for web designing.

The service is not free as the name suggests but we have been running an online store with secure server for credit card transactions etc for over a year now with these. Only had one problem (which I think I actually caused by messing about with the .htaccess file) which took our website down, their tech response via email was excellent, and website was back up and running within an hour.

Highly recommended!!

Looking for a reliable and reasonably priced service for web hosting and domain name provision in th

123 reg are good for domains. http://www.123-reg.co.uk

UK web for hosting. http://www.ukwebgroup.com/

You can buy your domain with 123 reg and do what is called a soft transfer to uk web so they can host it for you. You need uk web server information and cut and paste this in 123. Simple. No cost for soft transfer.
