I dont have much photoshop of web designing experience, but I%26#039;ve taken it upon myself to build a website for my business.
I have a website template which I have loaded into photoshop. The template has four buttons along the top that are supposed to link to the four different pages. I have already designed all four pages of my website, but I dont know how to make the button open up the page. I know i will need to link that button to that page in some way.
once I have my pages linked together, what will I need to do to send it to a hosting company such as godaddy.com or other hosts, and in what format?
At what point in this process will I need to register a domain?
Help me build a website with photoshop?
Photoshop is not an HTML editor. It%26#039;s an image editor. You can design images for the site but you%26#039;ll have to find yourself an HTML editor like Dreamweaver / MS-Frontpage or learn HTML (it%26#039;s not so difficult) yourself.
The simplest format for the web will look like that:
1. %26quot;index.html%26quot;
2. %26quot;page1.html%26quot;, %26quot;page2.html%26quot;, page3.html%26quot;...
3. a folder contains all your images.
You can get free hosting services at:
http://www.sitesled.com/
http://www.110mb.com/
http://www.phpnet.us/
These services will issue you a sub-domain like %26quot;www.you.110mb.com%26quot;, and you can even get a free domain registration at:
http://www.freedomain.co.nr/
They will issue you a domain like %26quot;www.you.co.nr%26quot;.
Keep the registration of a domain and hosting services to the end of the process, and use the free services till then.
I%26#039;ve seen some posts of kids who offer to build a simple site for free... I would search Yahoo answers for these posts and contact them!
